My gt gt uncle, Joseph Henry Bearder was born in 1860. He was a schoolmaster when he married Lucy Ann Barraclough in 1885 in Bradford. In February 1893 he travelled from Liverpool to America, but was taken ill soon afterwards and died in Philadelphia on 13 April 1893. According to the family bible, he is interred in the cemetery in Philadephia. Any ideas how I could get hold of these records? I am fairly certain that Lucy did not travel to America, and I am not sure if Joseph was just visiting or if he was considering remaining there.

Was Lucy Barraclough born 1861 the daughter of James  & Margaret Barraclough?

She was the daughter of Paul and Mary Barraclough, living Swaine Green in 1871 and 1881. Once again though, missing on the 1861 census.
